'KINGDOM OF THE PLANET OF THE APES'

Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi violence/action.

What it’s about: Set hundreds of years after the events of the last "Planet of the Apes" film, the story follows a young ape, Noa, as he encounters a charismatic ape king, Proximus Caesar, and fights to save his clan.

The kid attractor factor: Kids will be drawn to the spectacle and adventure story.

Good lessons/bad lessons: The world can be much harsher and crueler than you expect. Compassion goes a long way.

Violence: Some bloody and violent sequences of apes battling and fighting, one instance of using a gun.

Language: A few instances of strong language.

Sex: None

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: Too violent for young kids but fine for older kids and teens.
